“It’s been a long time coming!” Taylor Swift famously exclaims in her opening line amidst thousands of screaming fans and their countless flickering bracelets lighting up every corner of the stadium in sync to the music. Taylor Swift is the only modern female artist possessing the ability to sell out entire arenas night after night with the unforgettably cinematic “Eras Tour.” Iconic, legendary, and untamed are three words I would say embody this over three hour long performance. Maybe after reading this review you will see why so many claim that Taylor Swift is the music industry.

Her last stadium tour was for her reputation album nearly five years ago, which easily became the highest grossing U.S. tour ever. Since then, Swift has  released four studio albums, earned Artist of the Decade, and become the most-streamed female artist in history. Now, her world conquering tour is projected to become the highest grossing tour in world history, surpassing her previous record established by her “reputation” tour and estimating $2.2 billion in North America alone, with international tour dates still on the horizon. In recognition of her tour visits, cities have even gone so far as to temporarily change their name, make her honorary mayor, or designate official holidays in her presence. Santa Clara or Swiftie Clara? (I think Swiftie Clara has got a nice ring to it!)

Now, what exactly is The Eras Tour? Well, it’s more than just any regular concert. It is a once in a lifetime experience—a cultural phenomenon. She transports her fans through the various time periods of her albums, encapsulating the true essence of each “era” she has experienced. With new outfits for each era, she showcases her evolution as an artist. Her different fashion choices are not only a significant part of the storytelling process but they reflect her creativity and attention to detail. And, on top of it all, she does it all in custom Louboutin heels.

I can still vividly remember her saying at Santa Clara night one that she has “no plans on stopping,” assuring her fans she’s in it for the long haul and will be continuing her music career for the foreseeable future. And, just when you thought she couldn’t possibly top herself, Swift made a thrilling announcement on August 31— an Eras Tour movie would be released worldwide! And at its premiers fan have dressed up in their Eras attire, wearing friendship bracelets ready to trade, and passionately belting out their favorite lyrics. And yes, I’m one of them, right there in the audience, screaming my heart out.
