growth: an animation

For this stop-motion, I took numerous shots of my fairy babies, which are made from recycled plastic and hand painted with gouache. I animated this with UMI’s Broken Bottle, Reimagined in mind because her music is so ethereal and this song in particular reminds me of the feeling of waking up from a peaceful slumber, something I imagine a butterfly goes through after a period of stasis within its chrysalis.
