The melting sun’s rays are split in bountiful beauty above the sea onto a summer’s lightly cloudy sky.
On the Senior Kairos retreat, in the gray of the morning, the Amaryllis belladonna flowers glow pink, attracting all that pass by.
On our very own Mitty campus, cherry blossoms bloom by the Aymar Event Center, spreading a sweet aroma as the wind passes by.
Amidst the turbulence of a landing flight, the sunset creates a stillness embracing the sea.
A photo of a theatre at night while it was raining. The reflections made the light look really cool. I shifted the tint to be more green so that it would further contrast and bring out the orange light, which is like a beacon in the dark.
A gorgeous sunset colors dive onto the surface of the water and shoot towards the camera as ships quietly float beyond.
This is the sunset carving through some tree branches. In order to achieve this look, I increased the saturation and the contrast to make the light stand out more through the black branches, which makes you appreciate how fleeting the light is.
The orange-yellow tint provides comfort and joy to the eye by magnifying the glistening sun rays as they descend onto the horizon and the resting kayaks, making every object feel alive and peaceful.
A yellow shrub rose glowing in the afternoon sun. I added a yellow tint to amplify the solar shadows and boost the color with the intent to liven but simultaneously calm the mood of the image.
A fuzzy honeybee glows golden on vibrant blue petals against a garden of green.
Taken at one of Lake Tahoe’s rocky lakeside beaches during the summer. The bright sun shining on the rocks forms a greenish tint as it combines with the clear blue water of the lake.
Standing defiant, this light house overlooks the vast Massachusetts Bay.
Taken at the rocky sea-side of Hawaii, picturing where the dark lava rocks meet the blue sea. The blue of the sea and the black of the rocks create a photo with a cool temperature.
A photo in a snowstorm under a streetlight. I increased the color contrast to highlight the yellow light more, which acts as an anchoring point in the coldness of the image.
Powerful rapids lap and rip against carved granite stones on a cool afternoon in Yosemite. I applied a bluish, low-temperature tint in order to add to the refreshing and powerful nature of the water.
People hurry by in a weekday’s rush as an old telephone booth sits patiently under the eyes of tourists. I used a partial black-and-white mask to emphasize the red elements and add to the grit of the scene.
The keen juxtaposition between the black background, green leaves, bright moon and steep rock create a haunting image of the beloved Disney Land Park..
