BakedbySahej

Looking for your next sweet treat? BakedbySahej may have the solution for your cravings! Sahej Mavi (’26) is an experienced baker who has been practicing her craft since she was in 4th grade in 2017. She manages a home-based bakery that takes custom orders for parties, special occasions, or any day that you just need a good cookie.

While she has learned to make everything from bagels to loaves to cookies, cakes and cupcakes are her specialties. Sahej has mastered the meticulous techniques of creating a well constructed interior that involves multiple layers of frosting—a crumb coat and final coat—and filling. Upon this, she is able to bring artistic visions for her cakes to life during the decorating process.

Inspired by creations from social media, bakeries, and baking shows, Sahej often sketches out her ideas on Notability to create unique designs. She has experimented with an endless number of tools such as stencils, string, and piping tips. Through hours of patience and multitasking, she brings her designs to life on a buttercream canvas. Sahej takes the most satisfaction in baking for her family: “It’s a way of showing my love.” She hopes to keep improving and building on her passion—spreading love, one sprinkled cupcake at a time.

NailngIt

Marcella Ng (‘26) has turned her love for nail art into a successful business. Working from home, she specializes in Gel-X and builder nails for her mostly middle and high school clients. Her journey started during the COVID pandemic when she realized how expensive nail salons were, and she started DIY-ing her own nails.

Marcella can find inspiration anywhere: on Pinterest and Instagram, at her grandparents’ house, or even at the museum. After crafting an idea for a design, she begins her creative process of sketching the design out or even just imagining it in her mind. “I love when a challenging design finally comes together,” she shares. “It feels very rewarding”.

For Marcella, its not just about running a business – its about making connections and expressing her creativity. She loves how nails can represent parts of someone’s personality and who they are. With dreams of exploring 3D styles and painting inspired by artists like Monet and Van Gogh, Marcella is excited to see where her creativity takes her next.
