In my exploration of drawing portraits, I wanted to learn the different structures of different ages, different races, and different genders. Since it’s currently black history month, I went ahead in practicing a portrait in support.

While I was thinking of a new piece to make, I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and make something that I was interested in and something that was a little controversial and challenging. Going into the veterinary field one day, I explored the topic of animal testing. It depicts 3 scientists observing and about to do something life changing and irreversible to the monkey that can further help the human race.

This illustration uses Chinese porcelain patterns to depict beauty standards for women that focus on fragility.

A piece I did for lunar new year this year. The background is inspired by hongbao, or the red packets filled with money.
