The beauty found in a quick walk outside is unreal. Where will you venture to see the beauty of autumn in nature—to see where the sun casts its light upon the tree’s red leaves, giving them a warm, orange glow?

Covered by a delicate film of water and concealed by the reflection on its still surface, the color and vitality of these leaves have been drained by the very source that once infused them with life. Kayla utilizes various editing tools to bring out the brilliance and warmth of the leaves while increasing the contrast, definition, and vignette to create a desolate feel.

Autumn’s Embrace

The golden hues of the setting sun mirror the warm tones of fall, casting a serene glow over the horizon. A reflection of the season’s quiet beauty and changing colors.

Taken on a weekend walk, this photo captures the brown, amorphous leaves making their on the staircase, indicating that autumn has finally arrived.

The photo of this maple leaf was taken from the Sobrato terrace. The sunlight behind the leaf provides a resplendent spotlight, highlighting the warmth of autumn.

Each leaf is worth admiring. Utilizing the rule of thirds and positioning the leaf in the center, Laura effectively focuses on the subject while including the vibrant background.

The amber leaves and the cloud’s rusty texture against the sky paint an image of the transition between the seasons.

As the golden hour approaches, these fall leaves burn their brightest, reflecting a striking auburn glow and melting into a syrupy maple that embraces the warm tones of autumn. By enhancing the vibrancy of these colors and increasing contrast, Kayla juxtaposes the soft beauty of the leaves with the sharp silhouette of their branches as well as the crisp air that surrounds them.

It’s not fall without pumpkins! Brown leaves peek out from underneath the fall-favorite decorations and add texture to the composition of the photo.
